Silvio has walked the talk of lean management through his management experience in Toyota and Renault. He has also guided management within many other companies through his supplier development activities and consulting experience.
Silvio understands the true essence of lean having spent 17 years as a manager within Toyota Argentina. He was also trained on the shop floor by Toyota in Japan on multiple occasions gaining him certification in Toyota Business Practices. This experience gives Silvio a unique perspective on the genuine objectives behind lean management and how to develop a lean culture within an organization.
He has also worked as a supervisor in refinery production for ESSO and he is a professional ontological coach. More recently, Silvio has been deployed on a long-term lean mining implementation with BHP.
Silvio has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in progress. He is a native Spanish speaker and has good English proficiency.

Toyota Production System Consultant
Five years training, coaching and mentoring managers in TPS and lean manufacturing. Supported Denso, Dayco, Mainero, Fadea, Orange, Autoneum, Aclade, Ortiz, Sudosilo, Paraguayan Pharmaceutical, and San Lorenzo Ceramics. Trained clients such as National Technological University, University of Córdoba, Center of Engineers Specialists, and Chamber of Plastic in lean, teamwork, leadership and communication.
Renault – Manager Welding, Final Assembly & Aluminum Foundry
Working for Renault Argentina, managed safety, quality, cost and delivery of daily production and production strategy in the weld shop and final assembly shops employing 650 people and 600 people respectively. Also had full responsibility for the aluminum foundry as General Manager.
Toyota Motor Corporation – HR & Quality Control Manager
Responsibility within human resources for labor relations for two years and plant and supplier quality control for one year, for Toyota Motor Corporation in Argentina.
Toyota Motor Corporation – Final Assembly Shop Manager
Managed 550 people in the final assembly shop over two shifts to achieve world-class levels of quality and efficiency as expected by Toyota and its customers.

Managed start-up and training in 1995, and rose up through the ranks over 11 years from supervisor, shift manager and weld shop manager leading over 400 employees.

Joined ESSO (Argentina) as an operator and was quickly promoted to supervisor with responsibility for 35 employees in production.
