Eri Dennis | General Manager – Japan Programs
Eri is responsible for the overall strategy and management of Shinka Management’s Japan-based study programs, with experience supporting our global client base with the design and execution of study tours and trade missions.
Eri has over 20 years experience working within both government and private sectors supporting trade delegations and study missions to Japan, event management and intercultural training.
As a NAATI accredited and certified Professional Level Japanese Interpreter and Professional Level Japanese Translator, Eri supports our Japanese and international clients with market entry, localisation, facilitation and Japanese interpreting and translation.
Her career includes interpreting for a wide range of corporate, government, cultural and sporting engagements, and she is skilled in the translation of business proposals, marketing materials, industry outlook reports, media guidelines, press releases and website content.
Eri has supported and facilitated Australian prime ministerial and ministerial visits to Japan while working for four years in the Public Diplomacy Section of the Australian Embassy Tokyo.
Her career includes roles within an Australian specialist international project management company, Scope Global, and within IBM Australia assisting its partners and clients with various business projects.

Eri is responsible for management of the Shinka Management Lean Japan Tour programs and industry-specific study missions, including schedule planning, logistics, relationship management with host organizations and pre-tour support for clients.

Australian Embassy in Tokyo – Advocacy and Assistant Media Officer
Supported and facilitated high-level official government visits, organised several public diplomacy functions and events and created numerous advocacy materials. Awarded 2012 Ambassador’s Award for outstanding performance and commitment to work.
Scope Global – Scholarships and Fellowships Case Manager
Provided support services in administering the Australian Government’s Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships programme. Directly supported more than 200 recipients from around the world to enable them to achieve their proposed objectives and complete their programme successfully. Role required organisation and implementation of webinar, networking events and host organisation visits.
IBM Australia – In-house Translation Specialist
Managed and led various group translation projects, translated, proofread and localised an extensive number of business and technical documents including marketing materials, business proposals, fact sheets, industry outlook reports, technical manuals and specification documents for IBM business development teams, its partners and clients.
