Dave is a lean and continuous improvement professional experienced in leading multifunctional supply teams across Australia and New Zealand including production, operations, winemaking, sales, people development, quality, engineering, logistics and safety teams.

He has coached and mentored staff across Thomas Foods International – Fresh Produce, Constellation Brands and Treasury Wine Estates. Working together with the organization from the CEO, Senior Leaders and importantly staff on the shop floor to facilitate the creation of strong lean management and CI disciplines, and ultimately to transform business and site culture to
sustainably achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery and people-related KPIs.
Dave holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Diploma in Competitive Business Manufacturing (Lean).

Thomas Foods International Fresh Produce – Chief Operating Officer
In Dave’s most recent role, his focus was on turning business performance and Leadership around. He was successfully able to do this by optimizing operational capacity, working closely and hands on with Farming, Production and Sales teams. The introduction of some simple and yet remarkably effective lean tools and training centered on waste elimination, 5S, practical problem solving and creating a visual workplace enabled rapid change to filter through the organization. Dave was able to impact financial performance with a focus on driving costs down and extracting maximum revenues for the business.
Constellation Brands – National Winery Operations Manager
Through this role Dave was responsible for planning and controlling all management aspects of winery operations for three locations with a farm gate value of NZ$95M. Dave’s focus was on the development of his operations teams to achieve safety, quality control and sustainably achieve business KPIs. To this end Dave delivered and embedded the Constellation Brands NZ continuous improvement strategy (Business Excellence), building a culture of CI thinking and safety principles to all employees based on TPS.

Continuous Improvement Lead | Wine ANZ
Developed and delivered TWE CI strategy (OpEx) for multiple sites including resources, people development and improvement activities. Led a CI roadmap for the Australian wine production business and developed succession plans for high performers.
