Eri supports our Australian and Japanese clients with market entry, localisation, Japanese translation and interpreting.
Eri is responsible for managing the various events and training courses Shinka Management runs around the globe. Eri is a regular leader of the Shinka Management Lean Japan Tour and provides participants with pre- and post-tour support.
Prior to joining Shinka Management, Eri worked with Scope Global, a specialist international project management company based in Adelaide, the Australian Embassy Tokyo in the role of Advocacy and Assistant Media Officer in the Public Diplomacy Section, and as an in-house translation specialist for IBM Australia.
Through her roles Eri has supported and facilitated prime ministerial and ministerial visits to Japan, has organised and supported public diplomacy functions and events, and led the development of numerous advocacy materials including speeches, educational booklets and media releases. Eri offers excellent support as a specialist on cross-lingual or cross-cultural issues and is also a skilled MC and presenter.
Eri is NAATI accredited as a Professional Level Interpreter and Professional Level Translator. Her career includes interpreting for a wide range of corporate, government, cultural and sporting engagements, and she is skilled in the translation of business proposals, industry outlook reports, media guidelines, press releases and website content.
Eri graduated with a Master of Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation from the University of Queensland, and completed a Bachelor of Law in International Politics at Hiroshima Shudo University.
