Daryl is a hands-on lean practitioner with 22 years of solid experience applying lean principles across all operational elements of an organisation.
Daryl has been directly responsible for the development of lean culture and understands the relationships between all the elements of a value stream. This deep understanding, combined with his systemic approach to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement enables him to optimise the value stream to achieve inventory reduction, improved customer service and improved operational efficiency.
Due to the success Daryl has achieved in lean manufacturing, he has been invited to present his experience to large audiences at AME and IQPC conferences. Combined with his confidence in public speaking, his inclusive style, and a passion for continuous improvement, Daryl brings together teams that can quickly achieve results. Specifically Daryl enjoys the buzz of success around a kaizen blitz that results in significant improvement at minimal cost. Daryl has successfully lead teams to deliver low-cost projects with ROI’s greater than 500%.
Elevated to senior management at a relatively young age, Daryl has gained almost 10 years’ experience operating at a level that enables continuous improvement across multiple facets of an organisation. He has successfully developed and implemented a complex and comprehensive 5-year manufacturing strategy.
Daryl brings to the Shinka Management team a high level of expertise in distribution network optimisation, supply chain planning and execution systems, and has successfully implemented improvements across all aspects of sales and operations planning, forecasting, distribution planning, production planning, constraint management shop floor execution, inbound control, dispatch execution and exception management.
