Diego Echenique | Regional Manager Latin America | Senior Consultant
Diego is a lean management consultant with solid foundations in the automotive sector and international experience covering three continents.
Diego has resided in Argentina, France and New Zealand fulfilling roles in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, production management, supply chain management and digital project management.
A majority of his career to date has been spent in the automotive industry with Volkswagen and Renault Nissan. In his roles at Renault Nissan in France, he was primarily supporting companies in the first and second-tiers of the supply chain to implement lean manufacturing. This role took him to numerous fresh environments where he had to quickly ascertain the existing capabilities of the supplier and determine the best pathway to implement a lean culture within the company.
Diego then worked side-by-side with these automotive suppliers to train and develop their people to become aware of the issues within their company and gear them with the methodology to effect change under the framework of the Nissan Production Way.
Diego has also had a supply chain role in the energy sector working for a major company in New Zealand.
His experience in managing teams of people in multiple countries has especially developed his capability to work with clients in multicultural and multilingual environments. Diego’s mother tongue is Spanish, but he is also fluent in English and French.
