Miguel is a commercial engineer from Diego Portales University, with a degree in continuous improvement, and 15 years’ experience both in Chile and abroad in FMCG and supply chain.
Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to hold various positions in different areas such as marketing, sales, distribution, customer service, projects, factory management, finance and HR; specializing in the area of operations and services.
Miguel possesses a macro vision of industry, and is a strong leader of change management from the senior company leadership through to the shop floor.
Miguel is a native speaker of Spanish and has an intermediate level of English.

Grupo Sygnus (Chile) – Operations Manager
Miguel held responsibility for the strategic and tactical planning of the operations area, organizing and coordinating activities for the development of services provided to clients. He supported 15 multinational clients and led work teams, with direct responsibility for 50 collaborators and more than 2000 collaborators in the field.
Nestle (Mercosur) – Controller Supply Chain
Miguel’s main responsibilities in this role were generated visibility at the regional level (Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay) of opportunities for improvement within the value chain and managing annual budgets for the corresponding action plans. Miguel managed investment projects for the distribution network, implementation of cross-docking and a waste reduction plan. He led continuous improvement initiatives, and implemented Voice of Customer, SIPOC, value stream mapping, SMED (rapid changeover), PDCA and problem solving tools (DMAIC).
Nestle (Chile) – Factory Controller
In this role Miguel developed the operational strategy, supporting different areas of factory, production, HR, quality, engineering, security and logistics. Miguel led budget control and monitoring activities for the construction of a dairy factory in Osorno, complying with Nestlé Corporate standards.
Nestle (Centro América) – Business Excellence Manager
Miguel created an operational and strategic customer service structure for Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala, in order to provide a financial logistics service to the main multinational and local clients. Implementation of best practices in all business areas, and monitoring and controlling the start-up of SAP.
